Zenagamtide (amycretin)

Zenagamtide, formerly called amycretin, is an investigational peptide that combines GLP-1 and amylin-family receptor activity in one molecule. Novo Nordisk is developing both oral and subcutaneous formulations for weight management and type 2 diabetes. Early obesity trials produced substantial weight reductions, and the phase 2 diabetes program has now shown improved glycemic control with both routes. Understanding this candidate requires keeping its molecular design, the two formulations and the different trial populations connected to their results.
