BPC-157

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide studied for its effects on tissue injury and repair. Interest began with digestive protection and expanded to tendon, muscle, ligament and wound experiments. Several rat studies reported improvements in both the organization of damaged tissue and its performance, including tendon strength and walking. Cell experiments have since examined movement, survival, growth-signal responsiveness and vascular behavior that could contribute to these outcomes. The human literature is much smaller: it includes reports of knee-pain and bladder-symptom improvement, brief tolerability observations and older digestive studies summarized by FDA. The published knee and bladder reports have no comparison groups, leaving the contribution of BPC-157 to the reported relief uncertain.
