Hexarelin

Hexarelin, also known as examorelin, is a synthetic six-residue growth hormone secretagogue with an unusually varied research record. Human studies established GH stimulation and showed that responsiveness can diminish during prolonged exposure. Separate cardiac experiments measured short-term changes in heart pumping, including responses in some people with severe GH deficiency, suggesting effects beyond the rise in circulating GH. The findings were not uniform: an acute dilated-cardiomyopathy comparison was negative. Hexarelin is therefore best understood through its individual endocrine and cardiovascular experiments, each of which asks a specific physiological question.
